HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION AND HOW MANY SESSIONS CAN I EXPECT?
Each session is 50 minutes in length. The average amount of sessions is really dependent on each individual, but generally you can expect 6-12 sessions; sometimes more, sometimes less.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
This is a great question. Really, you don't need to do anything to prepare. However, you might want to come to the first session with your presenting concerns and goals for therapy. In other words...what has you reaching out for therapy and what are you hoping to get out of it?
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THERAPY?
Taking that first step and reaching out for therapy can feel scary or overwhelming. Many people are nervous about what to expect. My goal is for you to feel as comfortable as possible - right from the start! In our first session, we will get to know each other better, discuss what is bringing you to therapy, and develop a good plan of action for moving forward in our work together. After that, sessions will focus on moving you towards your goals, both through discussion and through learning active strategies that can help get you there! Therapy can be hard work, but it can also be really fun and exciting!
